Everybody seen the new MSRP on Celestion's BLue? First it shot up to $395 8O and then a month or two later, it's $475! 8O :!: 8O
NOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
I love those things, but I think I've bought my last at those prices! :x :x

I think it pays to shop around.. here one place that sells them alot cheaper..
And thats just one place.. i'm sure there are others that are even better priced.. There also may be some members that can also get them alot cheaper through there dealerships..

Try Ted Webers Alnico Silver Bell

They are a good alnico and cost about 1/3 of the price of the Blues. I've loaded cabinets with both and played them side by side. That classic alnico break up is right there with the Weber.

They are worth it.

PS - Personally I don't like alnico's but then I didn't make them to please me. LOL

Celestion Blues

I'm looking for a pair of Blues myself (8 ohm). At this point there's no way I'm going to spend $300-$400 on a single speaker. I'll look around and see what I can find. Maybe Mr. Weber will get my business afterall.

Avatar sells the Blues for $250 now, which is still too much for me.

Considering the economy and the war, I really have got to wonder from a business standpoint of Celestion's logic in raising the prices so much. Stuff doesn't seem to be moving on the web as fast as it used to.

Oh well.
