MD/DC/VA (and beyond?) Gathering

I'm just throwing this idea out to see if anyone might have some interest...
Lots of folks here have some really nice musical gear to show off and others here might appreciate the opportunity to actually see and hear in person some guitar or amp of interest. So, how about an informal get together?
I'm thinking about this location in Laurel, MD between DC and Baltimore as I have a good friend that works there:
Montpelier Cultural Arts Center
The cost to rent the performance space would only be $50 so that is not an issue for me. As far as a date, well that would be determined based on interest, but I'm thinking early September.
I'll start things off by offering to bring an AC30HW and JTM45 O/S as well as any of my bargain-bin guitars.
Obviously I need to think through the details, but if you guys want to give this a shot, just let me know.

Well, based on the interest here and a few other places, it looks like I should get things moving.
As soon as I set a date, I'll make an announcement.

Is this still on?? I dont see anything on the website about it...

Yes, most definately still on.
It is not listed on the Montpelier Site as it is technically being considered a "club" event.
I'm expecting a good turnout with some nice vintage examples fom the folks at the plexipalce bbs and some fine boutique amps from the guys at thegearpage.net.
Hope you can make it. Finish the 18 watt yet?

The electronics are done. I am trying to get the head cab finished. Tonight is all about wrapping that bad boy in vinyl. Hopefully it will be 100% before the meet and greet.

I'm still planning on bringing the following:
JTM45 O/S:
AC30HW head and cab:
and my AC30 Clone w/EF86 channel:
As far as guitars, my strat, SG w/p-90's and Rick 330. If anyone has some humbucker equiped guitars to bring, that would be helpful.
Also, be sure to drop your name in the fishbowl for a chance to win one of the door prizes

Hey all! MAN! I'd love to come to this shinding - i live in Germantown, MD. But I'm going on vacation on Saturday!!! I could've brought my 18w TMB built by EBE of this BBS and seen everyone else's gear. Man, that's too bad. We should make this a semi annual thing or form a DC area ampbuilder's enthusiast group.
Well, have fun everyone! I really wish I could make it.

I second that. We defintely need to have at least a quarterly get together. There must be more folks we can bring into this. Maybe the ax84 guys, and the les paul forum guys.

I've posted invites at the plexipalace.com, thegrearpage.net, voxtalks.com, and the beatgearcavern.com. I've got no problem if people want to spread the word on their own to other forums that they participate in.
Assuming this goes well, I would also be willing to host these events in the future.
Thank to all for their interest. See you on Saturday.
