Portabreaker?

Hey guys,
I was planning on mounting my chassis into a head configuration - it's a 2" hammond chassis about letter/a4 size when it dawned upon me...
The ampeg portaflex design is really the best compromise between a combo and head configuration

So my idea is to mount the amp upside down for storage and transportation, flipping it over when I want to play and putting some thick rubber shockmounts between the chassis and top board of the combo.
Considering the size of my chassis, a single 8 ohm speaker in the cab would make it light, transportable and... I can change the amp for a different one should I ever tire of it.
The big bonus is that I can get a valve cage for my hammond chassis and keep everything neat and tidy too.
A penny for your thoughts?
