EZ81 Query plus Pinnacle EL84s

These 3 bottles were in my WEM Dominator when the power transformer gave up and dripped melted wax everywhere. I've not tried the EZ81 in an amp and will probably just bin it as this could well be the reason for failure? I've tried the Pinnacle EL84s briefly my se5watt and they seem okay. (I have no way of testing other than in an amp) Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts on the EZ81 and whether the Pinnacles were worth keeping?

Pinnacle imported European tubes. If you don't have a tester, you can test them by checking the voltages in a working amp. Whether or not they sound good, you can probably figure out.

keep an eye on your bias "pin3" voltage with the el84's,if there is any internal leakage that will gradually creep up. i had trouble with that and my heathkit TC3 did'nt detect it.

Thanks for the testing advice guys. I'll bin the EZ81 then.
