Djeez Craig, even if the amp won't run... you can still hang it on the wall like a painting.
That is the type of build where you feel bad about putting it in a cab and hide all that beauty...

Is the cab on order or are you going to make that one yourself too?

Thanks very much Bieworm!

I have a Cab on order from Weber, The 6M18/36 1x12. It's done except for the tolex, we had some custom color coming from Q Components in Canada for a racing stripe that's been held up by USPS somewhere between customs and Kokomo since June 27th. I'll probably mount it in one of the 2x12 cabs I have sitting in the shop just to test it in the meantime.

That's a bummer!! Hope it's gonna arrive soon, man...
It's going to be a killer amp..that's for sure!!
But a 1x12? That means you will have to put in a 50 watt speaker at least. Isn't that gonna hijack the 18 watt vibe when switched to half power?

The owner wants a neo creamback because he wants light weight and portability for gigging. I've convinced him to try out several other celestions and WGS speakers even though I did buy a neo. It'll be His choice based on the "hearing test" ... I'd really like to put a ruby in it for him to try but I'm already past budget.

I'd love to hear a demo with a neo.

Let's go with "with and without a neo speaker" since a comparison would be nice. ;)

I'm going to try and record demos of it through the following:
A) Celestion G12 Neo Creamback 8 Ohm 12" 60W x1
B) Celestion G12T-75 16 Ohm 12" 75W x1 and x2
C) Celestion G12M Greenback 16 Ohm 12" 25W x1
D) Celestion Elite 75, 12" 75W x4 (in an Egnater VN412A cabinet)
E) Jensen P12R 8 Ohm 12" 25W x1
F) Jensen 8 Ohm 10" x4 (in a Mesa Blue Angel 4x10 cabinet)
G) WGS Green Beret 16 Ohm 25W x1 and x2

Practically, since he wants a 1x12, the only options here are the Neo and the G12T. I wish I had a ceramic G12T Creamback and a Alnico Ruby for him to try also...

Couldn't find a blue or green replacement for the red indicator in the right size and 6V. That's OK I had a Fender lamp assembly and a step bit for the chassis. Had to melt the front panel plexi hole out to 11/16 with the iron.

Missed this thread. Very nice work. Are you using solid core or stranded wire?

I can never get stranded to layout as nice as what you have done here.

Ready to wire in the FX loop now, then install into the 1x12 cabinet.
Sounds fantastic thru the VN412.
