DPST or DPDT switch for cascade mod.

Hi all.
I am installing the cascade mod into my 18 watter and just a question about the switch.
I didn't notice until half way through doing the mod that the recommended switch is a DPST type.
Never used on before and I feel i can carry out the mod with a DPDT, push pull pot .
Am i missing something?
As always, your feedback is appreciated.

Jim

I misread the schematic and I am installing a push pull 1 meg pot to control the gain in and out.
I have almost wired it up and cant see why it would not work with a standard DPDT switch.
I have ordered a DPST switch just in case.
Have I missed something ?

It doesn't matter as long as it's a 2 position switch. You would only be using half of it, so by leaving one side empty on/on becomes on/off. Just make sure you're following this schematic: files/Zaphod_Phils_18W_Cascade_Mod.pdf

2 position would be on/on or on/off. There are some 2PDT switches that could be 3 position on/off/on for example.

No need to double post your questions. ;)

Thanks,
Josh

Thanks Josh.

I only posted it again as I believe there was a footnote on the other posting saying it had basically come to a close.

No worries. That note was more about them going off topic. ;)
