1974x: Kill Tremolo without Footswitch

I prefer the sound of the tremolo channel and am looking for a circuit modification to kill tremolo when turning down the intensity knob without having to plug in the foot switch which shorts the grid of half of V3.

Unlike many amps with tremolo, turning the intensity to zero in the 1974x does not kill the tremolo (the 2.2megΩ buffers the grid?)
Any idea how to elegantly stop tremolo with the knob and getting the same sonic result as using a foot switch?

there are push-pull pots that switch on-off. The switching part is not related to the pot itself. So you can lift the ground by pulling the knob and turn the tremolo on and off that way.

here's an example: https://www.ebay.com/itm/133287508033
