resistor legs not long enough to fit turret board

I have bought a turret board for an 18watt tremolo but it's too wide for standard resistors. The length of the resistor is about 3 mm longer than the width of the board, which I bought from Modulus.
Is this a common problem?
I dont really want to extend the resistor legs.
Should I buy a different board?
Can I get extra long resistors?
Any advice would be welcome.

I generally use CMF resistors, and most of the ones I get have much longer than standard legs. Pay attention while ordering, some are closer to standard / shorter legs.

Thanks for the reply JMP, I've had a look at Mouser (uk) and they have resistors with CMF codes, made by Vishay or Dale. In the specs it doesn't seem to state the leg length.
I'm currently using 1/2 watt resistors that measure 60mm, might it make sense to use 1 watt resistors which would have a bigger body and presumably be a little bit longer overall. What watt resistors do you use?
Sorry to bother you with trivial questions but I've mostly built on tag strips in the past and this has not been a problem. My last build was a deluxe reverb head which I built on a turret board and I found it to be a much better way of building.
I am now rebuilding my noisy 18watt on a turret board and I'm determined to make it as robust, reliable and quiet as possible so I wish to avoid extending legs if at all possible. (is this a common practice among builders?)
Where is a good source for long leg resistors? I am UK based.

I use 1W resistors, except in rare cases I might use 1/2W. Check out this BOM for one my amp projects for an idea of what I use:

Thanks,

Thank you Josh - this is really helpful. They have that much stuff available that it's hard to know where to start sometimes, and they do specify the leg length too. I don't know how I didn't see that before lol. This is gonna be the best amp ever!!

You're welcome.
Do yourself a favor, and check out the soldering and ground scheme threads in my signature while you wait for your resistors to arrive. Then it really will be the best amp.
