Project question

Post by tgbluesky »

Newbiw here, nice place, excellent technical references too. A good friend has built GRaydon's 18 watter, and got me longing for one too. I'm a semi-experienced builder, and want to build a single channel non-trem 18 watt circuit board in a spare Vibro Champ chassis to create some Marshall mayhem. Space is quite limited, so I'm wondering if there is a layout available for that circuit configuration, OR does anyone (Graydon?) sell a pre-made board (un-stuffed) for that circuit? I've looked thru the layouts available and do not seem to be able to locate that particular circuit, though I could probably do it from the LITE version and just eliminate the un-needed circuit. Thanks for any information!

Hello Tom, welcome . Click here for a Lite Layout

I have a few Lite eyelet boards available as well as all the other standard 18 Watt eyelet boards. Email me for pricing glenn.gertis@verizon.net

The Lite board measures about 6" x 3.25"

Thanks Glenn, that is exactly what I was looking for. Is the power supply filtering the same on the Lite version as it is on the full version? Would like to see the schematic for the same circuit only to make sure that I'm using the correct filtering. Thanks!!

The schematic is in the Downloads area:

As mentioned in a previous thread, that layout would be better if the 470pF cap was moved from the board over to the vol/tone controls, to avoid extra noise susceptibility.

Tom , the filtering is the same for the Lite and the standard 18 Watt. Mark is right about moving that small 470 cap ,would be better if it were soldered dirictly to the pots , rather than be on the board.
