board layout
Well, it's a start - an accurate (actual size at 150 pixels/inch) layout of the board itself.

Great work, Mark...
I added your drawing in the Layouts and Dimensions section in the Downloads area...
Gabi.
PS: any results on Richie's corrections layout yet? I know you had a crazy weekend with all the sparks going around...
On 4th night while watching our fireworks, I imagined you loading those barrels, and running from them with your hands on your ears (this supposed to be funny
) - I know, no one laughs on my jokes...

Sorry, no - I tend to get way too busy in the summertime to "play with the computer" much. I'll try to make some progress this weekend.gabstero wrote: PS: any results on Richie's corrections layout yet? I know you had a crazy weekend with all the sparks going around...
It's hard to hold your hands on your ears while you're holding a burning road flare...On 4th night while watching our fireworks, I imagined you loading those barrels, and running from them with your hands on your ears (this supposed to be funny)

HuH??? What did Mark say??
I pictured Mark would have had a puter-ized launching setup.
Those dang flares,if they are the type like used on the railroad, they are dangerous, well i guess only if you holding one and swinging on a grapevine, and it drips into your shoe... ouch..i stll have the scar from that..
its like molten lava coming out of those things..
Richie

This thread is way into BBQ land by now, but...
Yes, we still use the red highway flares (a ~40 cm long case stuffed with a slow burning mixture which burns with a red flame) to do smaller shows, and save the electrical controllers for larger shows. These are commonly used in the U.S. to warn motorists of hazards at night. They are very cheap and the hot dross which they produce (which Richie had the bad experience with) makes them good fuse-lighters.
On July 4th here, every fireworks company has every possible person and bit of equipment out doing shows, and there may be four people lighting, so more expensive solutions like the propane burner are not commonly seen.
