Guys, can you point out to me some of the different 36 watt layouts around? I've got a trannie set and need more clean headroom. I'm interested in knowing if there is a "lite" type layout, a TMB, and a tremolo. Thanks.

Sorry, that wasn't clear: I have an 18 watt tremolo now, but I would like more volume before breakup, so I'm investigating a 36 watt build.

I am looking for the 36watt layouts and schematics also. I am looking to build my second amp.

Is there a subdomain for 18watt.com for it or something? I found posts in the 26watt room mentioning 36watt section.

but most of the 36watt pictures and the layout have disapeared from Richies gallery. Nik also seems to have gone quiet after the posts introducing the Ceriatone chassis (kits?).

I have a question on this layout. Why is both hot and neutral side of the ac input being cut with the on/off switch?

Here's the 36 watt layout I have. For more information on the power supply layout with Heyboer trannies, I suggest looking at Richies gallery. I will hopefully my version soon, but I have been incredibly busy.

I cleaned out my gallery a while back, i took it out because alot of people were confused on how the power supply hooked up,since nik drew this as more of a drop through tranny,and it used different wiring. He did this to make it easie,but alot seem since it didn't follow the Heyboer set,it was confusing. The heyboers are a stand up type. Graydon also offers a 36 watt type,which can be the same as a stock 18..only useing different transformers,and the few extra parts to run the added EL84s.
You can build about any type 36 watter. The only differences are adding the parts for the extra tubes,and different transformers,if you wanted a stock type circuit. Also I use the 5E3 circuit for the 36,which the layout has the regular 18 normal channel. There are also a few value changes from the layout. And i also said i was only going to temporarily post the 36,so people who were in the process,would have something to go by.
The hookups for the PT,are very similar to what you would see in most fender amps useing a GZ34. Which most are shown in the fender amp field guide.

I think Nik still sells the chassis and faceplates. He doesn't show a price on his site. I prefer the aluminum chassis over the steel. You would have to ask Nik to see about getting a 36 watt chassis and faceplates.

I may have to come up with one of my own drawings. I have sent a few people the layout that is posted,and mark the changes.
