Well, horribly spooky timing, or what - I posted that reply a few hours BEFORE Wannatone posted his 18Wer message.
Where to start? My own experience of emailing MG questions about some of its mis-described Ebay auctions in the past (misdescribing amps on Ebay to fuel bidding interest - Artiste as Bluesbreaker!)... Other unhappy buyer stories at the LPF ("all original" amps which arrived with obviously replaced parts)...etc
Like ColinM, I'd also been round the Leeds shop (on a business trip, no GAS fund available), and found it interesting and pleasant enough. Something's going wrong.
