D'oh! Now I suppose I'll have to make a Vox head  You know, before Broadband came along, I couldn't shop while I was supposed to be working.

Ian - no-one had a chance to bid. His BuyItNow was low enough to be an impulse buy (especially to someone with poor impulse control - LOL). It'd only been placed a few minutes before I saw it. He had two and someone had already snaffled the other one. I was going to email and ask about its condition, etc - but I thought someone else might pounce on it. If it's 'as advertised' I'll be happy.

In my defence, I've had a great-sounding '61 AC-30 here for a while, and that went back to its owner this weekend. So I was vulnerable ;)

It´s just the right cab for an 18 watt head version, isn´t it?

Wow, a "rebound" affair!

Nice score LR! AC30 is one of the amps on my short list to clone. I'll probably build the early 4-input version though. I've just heard too many legends about that amp not to build it some day.

You made an excellent mistake! I have a mid 60's AC30TB and it's an emotional experience to play it!! Especially after a few drinks and I'm in the mood for some Beatles at 100 decibels with my friends! Enjoy my friend!!

Thanks for your emotional support guys ;)

Yup the early version with the EF86 was my plan. Too many things to make before that, though (!), so I'll be using it as a cab for a *long* time first. :)
