new layout to Jason PI mod conversion

Post by EBE »

Well I converted my new build to the Jason PI mod and man does it change the clean to gain ratio. It really does the cleaner/blues thing now with my strat. The amp does not seem any louder overall and probably is actually a bit tamer. The amp before turned over very quick, now you have to hit 7 or 8 before it really starts to go. At 10 it does the Marshall sound but still not as over the top as before. Since I play alot of clean parts in my band I think this version is going to suit me a lot better.

I did all the resistor swaps but I didn't follow the thread on what caps needed to be added/changed. I used 2 1.1Ks to the power tubes instead of the 1 100 resistor.

We have a gig next saturday and I plan on using this one instead of my 1x12 combo.
