Cathode Bypass Cap Values

What are some acceptable values for the cathode bypass cap (C2 i believe) I ordered parts according to the BOM (I think the other Aaron's BOM) and it looks a little small. I think I have a 50uF 50V in there right now. Damnit, why did i have to find this out the day after my Mouser order shipped.
Thanks,
Aaron Walker

Oops, i its actually C3.
The BOM says 50uF 50V....but then it says (50-500) and i guess whats in parethesis is from the schematic.
So I guess it should be somewhere between 50-500uF. What affect will a smaller/larger have?

Aaron,
You'll find a few threads on this subject already, but my understanding is that it's going to subtly change the low end response of the amp.
Smaller = less bass, larger = more bass. I use a 250uf and think it sounds good, although several people were lauding the 500uf value, calling it the "j-lo" cap. Heh heh.

I have a 100uF at the moment. But as Ian's original uses 500uF and Graydon says he always uses around value, I think I'll try that out myself one of these days...

Hmmmm. Mouser carries a 2500uF 50V cap.........I was gonna say something funny, but I can't think of anyone with a bottom "that" big.
