Help w/ Gain footswitch 36W 1/2 POWER SWITCH

I have attached 2 layouts. One is of a 18w tmb with a gain-boost foot switch. To me it looks like pin3 Cathode2 of V2 should go to ground throug the switch when activated instead of the 1k5 resistor....? Is this correct? I want to incomperate this into the 36W 1/2 power I am now building from a Ceriatone kit... Can you guys help me out...?

Did they get the half power switch ironed out? I think it was Blaren than had a red plating issue using it and I know Richie was involved, its a rather long series of posts that are pretty recent.

Nik sent an e-mail a wile back and said he had it ironed out.. I don't use the half power switch. You might e-mail Nik and see if he'll send his update.
As for the cap boost thing..it would be easy to put in a pull switch pot on the volume control,and pull it for a boost,or to activate the cap across the switch.

So the circuit is adding or removing a cap on pin 3. I can do that with a footsweitch then and a 1/4" jack...

Yes.. thats about it.. but you may want to set this before useing it.. or it may have a thump to it or noise.. since it will be kicking this cap in across the cathode.. So some noise may occur or a pop etc..

what do you mean by "Set this" ?
Is there a way I can reduce the pop?

I mean set it first the way you want it.. so there is no pop.. I don't know of a way to remove the pop.. its probably going to be there.. then again,,I haven't tried it with a switch. but the fender vibroverb RI..that has a huge switch on the back.. switches in i think 4 mods at once,these SRV mods.. and one of them is to change cathode resistors and caps values.. So you set it before you use it.. its not footswitchable.
It may not pop much with a footswitch,and maybe only in one direction..you may hear the pop.. kinda like the pop in the 18 trem amp.
